role UX- & UI Design, photography, wordpress with additional CSS
I had the chance to design and implement the website for a small bookshop in Norderstedt.
The shop itself is provided by the wholesaler and can not be customized. Still the new website enables a whole different user experience before linking to the shop. Besides all news and information about the shop and its team you can get a bunch of book recommendations. In times of a shop closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic this webiste is a small step for the team to stay in touch with their customers and supply them with their expertise.

For a small book store it's always a challenge to be visible to their potential customers. Often the customer doesn't know about an existing online shop – especially the elder target group of a book store. So another goal was to attract a younger target group. As books are colorful and divers, I chose a design with much whitespace and restrained colors.
While not having the budget to book a professional photographer it was fun for me as a hobby photographer to make some pictures of the bookshop and include them on the website.
